At Ridge Smile Dental Clinic, we offer a full range of restorative dental treatments for our Ridgetown patients, from crowns, bridges, dentures and fillings to gum therapy.
What is Restorative Dental Care?
Restorative dental care includes any procedure which aims to restore your mouth's normal function and appearance.
By repairing your oral structures, we can treat health issues like missing or damaged teeth. Our dentists will be able to help you to restore your smile (and your oral health).
Depending on your issue, the dentists at Ridge Smile Dental Clinic will determine the right restorative treatment option for you.
Dental Crowns & Bridges
Crowns are caps that are placed over top of a damaged tooth. Bridges are bonded to teeth or dental implants to replace a single tooth or section of missing teeth. They are custom made to restore colour, structure and contour to your smile and bite.
Full & Partial Dentures
Dentures are artificial teeth which are used to replace one, several (partial dentures), or a whole jaw (full dentures) of missing teeth. They allow our patients with missing teeth to affordably maintain their facial structure and to both eat and speak properly.
Dental Fillings
At Ridge Smile Dental Clinic, we use composite (tooth-coloured) fillings to repair a cavity or tooth damage, like a crack. These fillings can withstand moderate pressure from the constant stress of chewing, and can be used on front and back teeth.
Periodontal (Gum) Therapy
Gum disease is an infection of the tissues in your mouth, including gums, alveolar bone, gingiva, cementum and periodontal ligament. If we can detect this disease early, preventative therapy will be prescribed. If the disease is not detected early, other treatment methods will have to be used depending on your case's severity.
Inlays & Onlays
Inlays and onlays are tooth-coloured porcelain fillings which our dentist uses to repair cavities when damage is too extensive for a regular dental filling. They are custom-made for your mouth in a dental laboratory and are then cemented to your tooth as a single piece permanently.
Root Canals
A root canal is a procedure where your dentist removes diseased blood vessels, nerves and tissues from the interior of a tooth. By removing the decay and bacteria, your dentist can help halt the spread of infection and prevent the need for an extraction.
